School History

Jyotiniwas High School was founded in 1985 by the diocese of Tezpur. After its establishment, the school was taken by Arch Diocese of Guwathi in 1993. Located in the village of Jagiroad. Since inception, the school has associated itself with the Roman Catholic Church.
The moto of JNHS is “I am the Light Arise and Shine” resembling the school as an abode of light and knowledge. The school’s vision statement Is “A place to shape the future”. Living up to its vision and motto, the establishment aims to impart a sound education, character and self-discipline by means of religious and moral guidance.
Initially starting with strength of approximately 40 students, Jyotiniwas H.S now caters to the overall educational and moral development of 1300 students. Apart from the normal curriculum, the school prides itself in providing other services such as well-equipped library, well maintained computer and science laboratories and digital classrooms.
